The Full Story

PPS Estates is a family business first founded by Steve & Dana Plent in 1979 when they rented out their first home in Bebington Wirral, after relocating down to Brighton. The property real estate journey gathered pace with a range of refitted apartments near Stansted Airport Essex from the late nineties, when they both had professions in the area.

With their daughters completing studies at university in Nottingham, Sylvie MSc Psychology and Karolina a law post graduate Solicitor Legal Practise Course, investments were made in student shared houses. These were all completely refurbished, extended and redeveloped.

This proved so successful and enjoyable that Steve having balanced a very full on executive career at a large corporate plc with property part time, decided to project manage the building development work full time and lead the growth of the business.

A portfolio of extensively developed student houses followed in Brighton rented initially to the Universities directly, complemented by developing high specification sea view flats in Eastbourne.

During this time PPS Estates certainly welcomed in excess of 450 tenants building partnership relationships as they deal direct not through agents, many of whom have communicated long after moving on. PPS Estates have been delighted to experience a diverse range of tenants from most countries in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, and
the Indian sub-continent.

Activities were extended into larger scale property development with a successful foray into London from 2010. A company Plent Property Solutions Ltd was incorporated in 2014 to manage the personally owned properties and provide third party professional services, trading subsequently as PPS Estates. Sylvie joined the business from 2018 to take over the office management. Karolina as a corporate and commercial lawyer has become the Company Secretary. Our son in law Mike, an experienced Marketing Director provides assistance with digital marketing.

We are very fortunate to have a range of long standing highly professional business partners who integrate to form our team providing Building Surveying, Architectural Design, Project Management, Planning Lawyers, Accountancy, service and construction contractors, especially as the business has now expanded more into property development and building projects.

Meet the Company Management Team :

Steve Plent - Managing Director, joint founder majority shareholder. Extensive experience of executive management as corporate plc Function Head: Director and General Manager in both private and public sectors. During his career in airport management with BAA plc led numerous project boards in major multi million pounds building infrastructure developments. Also represented the National Landlords Association interests for the Southern Region and nationally with central government working groups. A former part time Higher Education lecturer and speaker at international conferences.

Dana Plent - Director & Resources Manager, joint founder and major shareholder leading on the fit out and equipment provision. Dana has lead the business with relentless enthusiasm, incredible determination, whilst having a fun and socially engaging strength and delights in connecting with others. Dana is a retired university lecturer in linguistics and also has a degree in Economics.

Sylvie Gluckman - Operations Manager & Director - leads on the customer service delivery and all operational planning. Sylvie takes a real interest in people and enjoys facilitating a friendly, proactive approach. Before joining the family business, Sylvie has managed numerous staff within various supported housing settings. These accommodations, included many differing framework requirements and a responsibility for the care provision of residents with a vast range of housing and mental health support needs.

Karolina Cilenti - Company Secretary - solicitor with 16 years post qualification experience in corporate governance and commercial law.
